4. Who These Events Are For
Kutana events are designed for and intended exclusively for women who identify as Black women and women of the African Diaspora, including immigrant women building a life in Montréal. By attending, you confirm that you:
Are an individual, not representing a company or organization in a commercial capacity
Are 18 years of age or older
Have not previously been removed from a Kutana event or banned from the community
Will conduct yourself in a way that is respectful, inclusive, and consistent with the values of the Kutana community
Kutana reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any guest whose presence or conduct is inconsistent with the spirit and values of the community, without refund.
5. Tickets & Booking
All tickets are sold through Eventbrite. By purchasing a ticket you also agree to Eventbrite's terms of service. A confirmation email will follow your purchase.
Tickets are personal and non-transferable. You may not sell, give, or transfer your ticket to another person without prior written consent from Kutana.
Kutana keeps event sizes intentionally small. Once an event is sold out, it is sold out.
6. Refunds & Cancellations
We understand that life happens. Our policy is as follows:
Cancellation by you:
More than 7 days before the event — full refund
Within 7 days of the event — no refund, but we will issue a credit toward your next Kutana event
No-shows on the day — no refund, no credit
To request a refund or credit, contact us at kutana.mtl@gmail.com. Refund requests made through Eventbrite outside of these terms will be handled at Kutana's discretion.
Cancellation by Kutana: If Kutana cancels an event for any reason, all ticket holders will receive a full refund. We will notify you as soon as possible by email.
Event changes: Kutana reserves the right to modify event details including date, time, and location with reasonable notice. In the event of a significant change, ticket holders will be notified and offered a refund if the change does not work for them.
7. No-Show Policy
When you purchase a ticket, you are committing to attend. A no-show occurs when you fail to attend without notifying Kutana at least 24 hours in advance.
Repeated no-shows may result in being deprioritized for future events or removed from the Kutana community at our discretion. We keep tables small on purpose — an empty seat is a missed opportunity for someone else.
In exceptional circumstances, contact us at kutana.mtl@gmail.com as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you.
8. Food, Allergies & Dietary Requirements
Kutana takes food allergies and dietary requirements seriously. The event menu will be shared no later than 5 days before the event date.
It is your responsibility to review the menu and notify us of any allergies or dietary restrictions at kutana.mtl@gmail.com as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours before the event.
Kutana will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary needs but cannot guarantee that all requests can be met. Kutana is not liable for any allergic reactions or dietary issues arising from attendance at our events. The preparation of food is the responsibility of the chef and venue.
9. Alcohol
Alcohol is served at Kutana events only where a valid licence has been obtained in accordance with Québec law. Where no licence is in place, events are strictly mocktail and non-alcoholic.
Guests must be 18 years of age or older to consume alcohol. Kutana reserves the right to refuse service to any guest who appears intoxicated. Kutana is not liable for any incidents related to alcohol consumption before, during, or after our events.
10. Conduct & Community Standards
Kutana is a space built on respect, safety, and genuine connection. By attending you agree to:
Treat all guests, staff, hosts, and collaborators with respect
Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour of any kind

Any guest whose conduct violates these standards may be removed from the event without refund and may be excluded from future Kutana events.

Kutana captures moments from our events for use on our website and social media channels. By attending a Kutana event you consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional purposes.
Personal photography is permitted with respect for the privacy and comfort of other guests. Please ask before photographing other attendees.
If you would like a photo of yourself removed from our platforms, contact us at kutana.mtl@gmail.com and we will action your request as soon as reasonably possible.

In such cases Kutana will notify guests as soon as possible and offer a refund or credit at our discretion.
