Kutana is a curated supper club and community dining experience for Black women and women of the African Diaspora in Montréal, Québec. Kutana is owned and operated by Carole Issekya, operating under the trade name 'Kutana.'

When you interact with Kutana — through our website, contact form, or events — we may collect the following:
Your name and email address — to communicate with you about events, confirm registrations, and send updates

Basic information about you (how long you've been in Montréal, what brought you to Kutana) — to help us curate a space that feels right for you
Photos and video taken at events — for use on our website and social media, with your consent
We do not collect sensitive personal information beyond what you voluntarily share with us.

Third-party platforms
Kutana uses the following third-party platforms to operate:
Squarespace — website hosting and contact form
Eventbrite — ticket sales and event registration
Google — email communication (Gmail)
Instagram, TikTok, Facebook — community and event promotion
Each of these platforms has its own privacy policy. When you purchase a ticket through Eventbrite or interact with our social media pages, their terms apply to that interaction. We encourage you to review their policies.
Photos and content
By attending a Kutana event you consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional use on our website and social media. If you would like a photo removed, email us at kutana.mtl@gmail.com and we will action your request promptly.

How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as you are an active member of the Kutana community or as required to communicate with you about events. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so within 30 days unless we are legally required to retain it.
Unsubscribing
If you no longer want to hear from us, email kutana.mtl@gmail.com with "unsubscribe" in the subject line and we will remove you from our list immediately. No hard feelings — the door is always open if you change your mind.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We will notify you by email if the changes are significant.
